World Council of Nuclear Workers in Japan
for the second consecutive year
One year after its visit to FUKUSHIMA, the World Council Nuclear Workers
(WONUC) reorganizes its annual maxi-marathon in Japan from 8 till 12 November 2012
from Shika Nuclear Power Plant to Kashiwazaki – Kariwa Mura Nuclear Power Plant.
The nuclear workers demonstrate again worldwide their solidarity to their Japanese colleagues and people further to the natural disaster of March 11th, 2011
and the accident of the nuclear power plant of FUKUSHIMA Daiichi.
The Japanese nuclear workers were in the front line of this nuclear accident due to extreme conditions of a tsunami.
The actions of the nuclear workers remain strong in particular to participate actively and professionally to the measures of safety and security in extreme situations
and on all the decontamination projects close to the nuclear power plant of FUKUSHIMA Daiichi. The creation of a rapid deployment force is based
on the nuclear workers skills and means to intervene immediately after a nuclear accident.
